Head of Marketing

Greater Boston

$140-$190k

Food & Bev

Our client - celebrated for their artisanal chocolates, pastries, and drinking chocolates - is seeking a Head of Marketing to accelerate their next phase of growth. As the founding leader of their marketing function, you will own customer acquisition strategy, drive online and in-store revenue growth, and improve performance across paid and owned channels.

This is a highly hands-on role suited for a performance-oriented marketer who enjoys building within a small team and can move seamlessly between strategic planning and day-to-day execution. We’re looking for someone who brings forward high-impact ideas, uses data and insights to guide decisions, and is energized by working closely with a leadership team who is ready to test, learn, and act.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy, Execution & Optimization

  • Define and own the company’s marketing roadmap and strategy to support near- and long-term growth objectives

  • Plan, launch, and manage paid acquisition campaigns across platforms to drive customer and revenue growth

  • Own and improve key performance metrics including CAC, ROAS, LTV, and payback period.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and attribution models to evaluate performance across channels and campaigns

  • Run experiments and A/B tests to improve campaign results and conversion rates.

  • Use cohort and RFM (Recency / Frequency / Monetary) analysis to identify high-value customers and retention opportunities

  • Conduct full-funnel analysis to identify bottlenecks and conversion gaps

  • Execute quickly, measure results, and iterate with expediency and focus.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work directly with the creative team to test, analyze, and optimize marketing content.

  • Partner closely with the e-commerce team to align marketing initiatives with growth priorities

  • Partner with store teams to drive in-store traffic, conversion, and revenue through coordinated marketing initiatives

Market Insights & Planning

  • Stay current on trends, tools, and industry best practices to ensure competitiveness

  • Help strategize, plan, and monitor the annual marketing budget, identifying high-ROI opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of performance marketing experience, ideally with a premium or e-commerce brand

  • Based in Boston (or willing to relocate) and available to work in-person 5 days/week

  • Committed to thoughtfully growing a premium brand with nearly 40 years of heritage, with an appreciation for creativity and design

  • Deep experience with GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Looker (or other BI tools), and a strong understanding of attribution frameworks, marketing efficiency ratios, and customer lifetime value

  • Eager to experiment with creative growth strategies, test rapidly, analyze results, and adapt quickly.

  • Excited about exploring new technologies and AI tools to boost effectiveness and efficiency

  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment and is excited to roll up their sleeves and execute.

  • Exceptionally analytical and action-oriented, with the drive to turn insights into results

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.

  • Passion for chocolate, food, or premium retail is a plus.
